The Teams!
Here are some of the teams that star in the LoL E-Sports for North America.
North American Teams!
Team SoloMid is a North American eSports Team, created in 2011 by Andy "Reginald" Dinh. It was first centered around the community website SoloMid.Net, which was founded by Andy "Reginald" Dinh and Dan Dinh in 2009, but unfortunately due to conflict between the two brothers, Andy moved to create Team SoloMid.
The team was first seen in early 2010 after being formed to participate in the Season One Championships later that year. The organization picked up their second League of Legends team on May 11th, 2012 when they acquired the roster of Epik Gamer, which now has disbanded.

Counter Logic Gaming
Founded by HotshotGG on April 16, 2010, Counter Logic Gaming (abbreviated CLG) began its presence in League of Legends eSports with bigfatlp, Chauster, Elementz and Kobe24 as its beginning roster. The first event they attended was in October at the 2010 World Cyber Games Grand Finals, where the scored 1st place against SK Gaming in the finals. Then in January 2011, their founding member, Kobe24, retires. The following month Saintvicious joins the team to take his place. August came and CLG participated in both IEM VI - Cologne and MLG 2011 - Raleigh, earning first place at both events. As they started to collect these victories and add them to their team name Doublelift joins as their AD in November, butElementz leaves the team the following month in Decemeber.

Dignitas
Team Dignitas is an International e-Sports team which is headquartered in Great Britain. It was founded on September 9th, 2003 as a fusion of the Battlefield 1942 clans Legion Condor and Sweden Kompanix. Later on, more teams were added to the organisation, and in July 2004 Team Dignitas was registered as a company - Team Dignitas Ltd. Michael "ODEE" O'Dell is the current Managing Director of Team Dignitas.

Gravity
Gravity was established in January 2015, rebranded from Curse Academy. Due to Sale of Sponsorship rule changes for the 2015 Season, the Curse brand was required to be pulled from the team that represented them; however, Gravity inherited the LCS spot that Curse Academy had acquired via the Expansion Tournament. Gravity's initial starting roster included Hauntzer, Saintvicious, Keane, Cop, and Bunny FuFuu.

Team 8
Winterfox was established in January 2015, rebranded from Evil Geniuses. Due to Sale of Sponsorship rule changes for the 2015 Season, the Evil Geniuses brand was required to be pulled from the team that represented them. The initial starting roster of Winterfox announced on January 7th included Pobelter, Altec, and Helios from EG's season 4 roster and added new players Avalon and Imagine.

Cloud 9
Cloud 9 is a North American League of Legends team formed by the roster of Quantic Gaming after the dissolution/leaving of the Quantic Gaming organization.
The team currently competes under the name Cloud 9 HyperX, in representation of their sponsorKingston HyperX

Team Liquid
Team Liquid acquired their League of Legends roster in January 2015 upon merging with Team Curse (not to be confused with the team's former title sponsor Curse Gaming). They inherited Team Curse's spot in the LCS, and their starting roster going into the 2015 season included Quas, IWillDominate, FeniX, Piglet, and Xpecial. At the same time as this merger was announced, Team Liquid launched the site liquidlegends.net, a hub for all of their League of Legends content.

Team Coast
Team Coast, formerly known as Good Game University, is a North American competitive League of Legends team. The squad was formed on January 4th, 2013 by the former roster of Team Dynamic following their departure from the parent organization. They were self-founded as Good Game University before changing their name to Team Coast on June 1st, 2013. Their first offline tournament was the League of Legends Season 3 North American qualifiers where they successfully qualified for a spot in the Season 3 League Championship Series (LCS).

Team Impulse
On December 26th, LMQ announced that they were rebranding as Team Impulse. The initial roster included Rush, XiaoWeiXiao and Adrian, with Fly as their head coach. The team inherited LMQ's seed in the 2015 NA LCS Spring Season. WizFujiiN (now Apollo) was announced as the starting AD carry on December 31st. On January 7th, Team Impulse announced Impact as their starting top laner.
